Pressed In Time

The production of press-moulded glass "gives every householder a glass where he had a tin can or a cup; it added a domestic luxury to every poor home, however humble" - Pottery Gazette 1st August 1885

There are only a few books on pressed glass and as many of the catalogue books and other information has been lost throughout the years, finding information involves an element of detective work.  This site aims to provide collectors with information on the manufacturers and the different designs and hopefully become a place where everyone can share their information.

For those who are new to pressed glass, I hope that this helps you find out more about this fascinating subject.  I would like this website to become a central resource on pressed glass where information on designs and manufacturers can be shared with others.  If you have any marketing material regarding pressed glass, or anything that you think a pressed glass collector would be interested in, please email me.  Naturally I would return all that was sent to me and give you full credits.

All of the glass is from my collection, with additional images from the Victoria and Albert Museum.  Due to the amount of photographs on the site, please be patient while downloading the pages.

If you have any questions, or suggestions about this site, or would like to use any of the articles I have written please feel free to email me
